Specialist GLP-1 support

1:1 and individual CBT Therapy and psychological self-help for Mounjaro, Wegovy and other weight loss medication users

When the outside changes faster than the inside, it can take time to understand what you are feeling. You do not have to make sense of it all on your own.

Your body can change before your mind has caught up.

The emotional side of medication

You started Wegovy or Mounjaro with hope. Maybe you wanted to feel more comfortable in your body, improve your health, or finally feel as though you were getting somewhere. And perhaps, as things began to change on the outside, something inside you felt harder to name.

This is more common than you might think. Weight loss medication can change your body and your relationship with food quickly, while your sense of identity, confidence and safety can take longer to catch up. You can feel grateful for the changes and still feel unsettled by them. You can know the medication is helping and still need space to process what it means. That's where I could help.

A place to be honest

You're not alone if you're feeling…

  • Disconnected from your body
  • Surprised or unsettled by how differently people treat you
  • Anxious about what happens when you stop the medication
  • Emotionally flat
  • Confused about your identity/hunger/relationship with food
  • Like you're grieving something

These feelings aren't a sign something is wrong with you… They deserve proper support.

Meet Katie

A warm, safe space to make sense of it all.

I'm Katie, a dual-accredited CBT therapist and integrative counsellor. I am BABCP and BACP accredited, with 15+ years of experience helping people understand what is happening beneath the surface of their lives.

Our sessions can take place in person in King's Heath, Birmingham, online by video, or walk-and-talk in local parks. I also offer group therapy for people who would value the steadiness and recognition of a small shared space.

I accept Aviva and AXA Health insurance, subject to pre-authorisation.
